Many of us do not take note on the condition of the automobile tyres, until it reaches the door step of the mechanics. As known, a valve is essential in air sealing and helps to prevent dust and dirt particles from attaching itself to the vehicle. Therefore, regular check up on the valve and valve cap is necessary to ensure good condition of retaining an air tight seal. Besides, if you are to place your vehicle in a stationary position for several months, it is advisable to leave your vehicle on support and stack the wheels up, remember to store them in a cool area so that they will not deform. Also, be sure not to place any heavy equipments or articles on the tyre causing it to crush.


What’s more, in order to ensure the longevity of the car tyre, it is necessary to perform a tyre pressure check up once a month. And this medical check up on your vehicle should be performed with a properly calibrated gauge. Also the tread depth of your tyre should be approximately 1.6mm; anything lower than that, replacement is needed, as it is the fundamental for stable cornering, braking and also high speed driving. Regular check up to see whether any nails or sharp articles are embedded in the tyres is also required. Also, if you are thinking of getting a new alloy, stick to the original tyre circumference. Lastly, rotation of tyres should be done for an even wear and tear.
