Five car accessories you must have in your car

Five car accessories you must have in your car

By  5 days ago
So, you think you’re all good to go with your recently installed super sound system and racing seats? Hang on just a second. While those may improve your driving pleasure, they won’t exactly save you from much at all. Here’s out list of REAL WORLD ‘must-have’ car accessories.
  1.  Jumper Cables
Jumper Cables
Even if you ensure the battery is replaced before its warranty period ends, there are still possibilities for leakage or the carelessness of not switching off your headlamps when you exit. Anyway, it also feels good to help someone jump-start their vehicle when it’s a 5 minute job without breaking a sweat. Just make sure the cables are of sufficient power rating.

  1. “Teh Tarik” hooks
Handy for preventing spill-overs
They cost no more than RM5 for a basic designed pair, but are a godsend when you need to hang stuff that might topple over or fall out. Installing them is as simple as removing the headrest (varies according to cars of course), slot through either rods before putting it back onto the seat. Some argue that the door lock is good enough, but a broken one resulted from overloading can be quite a headache.

  1. Torch light
Let there be light
“Emergencies can happen anytime anywhere”. Keeping that in mind, having a portable torch light is always better than groping in the dark.  While touch-screen handphones do emit quite some amount of light, many are insufficient to light up anything apart from itself. Of course some phones have an integrated flash/flash light which serves the same purpose as well.

  1. 1.5L of drinking water
Mainly for cleansing and emergency radiator top-up
OK, apart from health reasons for drinking aged drinking water, it is quite convenient for having clean water around during emergencies. Other than that, it might be sufficient for us to limp a few more kilometers in case of a leaked radiator.

  1. Curve mini-mirrors
To spot those blind spots
Many of us probably heard the term “blind-spot” during our driving school days. While some newer cars have their wing-mirrors’ outer edge curved slightly, the rest of us often depend on instincts and a little bit of luck when changing lanes. So how this interesting mirror helps is by reflecting quite a lot more view compared to a conventional flat mirror. Just do not use it to pin-point the object’s speed of approach.
