Wipers – A simple mechanism often taken for granted
Replacing a wiper blade on your windscreen is probably one of the simplest and fastest maintenance tasks to complete. Though there are various types of adaptors that connects the wiper arm to the blade, one of the most common variant is the hook-type in which I will explain on how to change here.

  • New wiper blades

Steps
Rotate about 90-degrees to ease removal

1. Lift up the wiper arm and rotate the blade almost 90 degrees. This should allow enough space for you to press on the release clip and to slide out the old wiper blade

2. With your thumb on the release clip, slide out the blade form the hook

3. If the new wiper blade does not come with a ready-fitted adapter, you can reuse the old ones simply by  snapping them back onto the new unit

4. Slide in the new blade to complete the replacement process
